Installation

Upgrade you stock Suzuki GSXR 1000 slipper clutch with one that slips earlier and smoother than the stock clutch.
We use ball bearings on the ramps for superior performance to the OEM ramp on ramp design.
Since the clutch weighs less than stock, the motorcycle's performance is improved.

When used to update the 2017- bike, you must use the 2016 clutch plates and clutch springs.

Congratulations, you bought one of the best clutch systems for your GSXR 1000 2009.

This clutch should be installed by an Suzuki service center, or experienced mechanic.

Read these instructions with photos before you start. Check if the kit includes all parts.
Remove the old clutch ( according to Suzuki workshop manual ), clean the threads on the shaft of old glue perfectly. Clean this part with brake cleaner.
Check if the original spacer is in its position ( pic.a).
Confirm that the steel balls are in their pockets. Use one or two clutch springs and upper retainers to temporarily clamp both parts of clutch drum together. Position of both parts left to be as delivered.
Install the pre mounted unit to gearbox shaft ( pic.b ).
The kit includes small parts for mounting. They are packed in the correct mounting position. Mount the shim first (pic.c ), then the spider spring (pic.d ) and the nut (pic.e ). Nut torque moment 120 Nm, use glue Loctite No. 620 (RED) to secure ( pic.f )
Remove the springs with caps.
This slipper clutch is designed to use the original clutch plates. In the standard clutch plate set there are thin steel rings ( judder rings ) NEVER mount them as the first plate ( from case). Mount a normal friction plate first, then a steel plate, and then the thinner friction plate with steel rings. The remaining plates mount as the standard ones do. (pic.g ).
Put push rod into gearbox shaft ( pic. h ) .
Mount the pressure plate (pic.i ). Install clutch springs with kit retainers and bolts.
Check the clearance between pressure plate and clutch hub via the small holes in the pressure plates hole. The correct clearance is about 1,0 mm, minimal clearance is 0.5mm. When the clutch plates wear to this smaller dimension, install all new friction plates.
Install clutch cover according Suzuki workshop manual, adjust clutch cable.
