Triumph 675/06 Steering damper
In 1990
TOBY steering dampers use the
same advanced technology both standard models and competition.
TOBY steering damper are
manufactured with an expansion reservoir, to house the oil which expands when
the friction generates heat in use. The expanding oil moves into the reservoir
with the heat and returns into the damper body as it cools automatically.
The bodies of the steering
dampers are made from aerospace grade aluminum (Al 7075) and are machined
to a tolerance of 5 m and polished after machining to a high gloss to reduce
friction. The body is then anodized in an assortment of colors.
The steering dampers rod are made
from CK45 steel and finished to a close tolerance. The fork clamp damper
mounting and body straps are all machined from aeronautic billet Al 7075 and all
pieces are machined before anodizing. All parts of steering damper kit are
manufactured in Toby workshops on CNC MORI SEIKI machining center to a high
tolerance. As soon as a new model of motorcycle is released in the market, the
Toby workshops obtain one in order to design a new steering damper kit.
For many
years Toby dampers have been tested and approved by many international pilots
and team such as: Moto GP – Superbike –
Supersport – Superstock – Endurance
